Shaq Shuts Down LeBron’s Complaints About NBA Schedule: You’re ‘Making $200 Million’ While ’40 Million People Have Been Laid Off’

NBA star LeBron James has complained about the league’s schedule in a Twitter rant about how the schedule allegedly increases the number of injuries experienced by players.

James claims he “only wants to protect the well-being of players” and says he “speaks for the health of all our players.” Complaining about the NBA schedule, James says “it’s insane… I hate to see this many injuries this time of the year.”

YES 👍 or NO 👎

James, who earns roughly $39 million per season, continued, “They all didn’t wanna listen to me about the start of the season. I knew exactly what would happen. I only wanted to protect the well being of the players which ultimately is the PRODUCT & BENEFIT of OUR GAME! These injuries isn’t just ‘PART OF THE GAME.”

Following these comments, James quickly learned a harsh lesson from NBA legend and hall-of-famer Shaquille O’Neal.

O’Neal indicates that James is living in an echo chamber because he’s earning millions to play a game while many Americans face severe financial issues and struggle to afford basic necessities.

O’Neal said, “When you’re living in a world where people, 40 million people have been laid off and I’m making $200 million, you won’t get no complaining from me.”

O’Neal told CNBC, “If I gotta play back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back, and I’m making all that money, I just gotta do what the job entitles me to do.”

“I’m not knocking what anybody said, but me personally, I don’t complain or make excuses, because real people like you who really work your tail off, you don’t make as much as we do, and all we gotta do is train two hours a day and then play a game two hours at night and we make a lot of money,” the four-time NBA champ added.

“So my thought process is a little different,” O’Neal said.

O’Neal differs from James in many ways. For example, James supports the defunding and dismantling of police while O’Neal is an outspoken supporter of law enforcement.

O’Neal has also said “Donald Trump is a friend of mine” while James has expressed hatred of the former president.
